Rupert specialises in business law, property law, wills and trusts.
He has considerable experience in residential and commercial property transactions, having acted for buyers, sellers, lenders, landlords and tenants on hundreds of matters. He particularly enjoys drafting and negotiating contracts which achieve his clients’ objectives, while protecting their assets and interests.
Rupert joined Thomson Wilson in 2012 after five years practising law in London. Before that he spent two years working in Wellington for a large national law firm and four years with a local law firm.
Outside work, Rupert enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children, particularly on holidays at Matapouri Bay. He is keen on the theatre, skiing and keeping fit, swapping his business suit for running or cycling gear whenever the opportunity arises. He is president of the Whangarei Toastmasters Club and secretary of Crossroads Community Church.
