Supporting Local Creativity: Sculpture Northland 2025
At Thomson Wilson, we’re proud to stand behind initiatives that bring our community together, and few events capture the creativity, energy and uniqueness of Whangārei like Sculpture Northland.
This year’s exhibition was an amazing celebration of local and national talent, set in the beautiful grounds of Whangārei Quarry Gardens. As a firm, we were thrilled to be among the supporters of the event, helping ensure the region’s art and culture continues to thrive.
“We’ve sponsored the Quarry Gardens’ sculpture exhibitions for the past 15 years, it’s a cause close to our hearts. Northland has a vibrant and talented arts community, and we’ve been proud to support local artists for over 30 years.” - Michael Badham, Partner, Thomson Wilson
As a long-standing law firm in Whangārei, we are committed to helping to grow and support our local community. For over 80 years, we’ve partnered with local businesses and community organisations to show this commitment, and we’re really proud to support events like Sculpture Northland.
This year’s event featured a diverse range of sculptural work, from the bold and experimental to the beautifully crafted. Contributing artists expressed their perspectives through natural materials, recycled metals, and everything in between. The team at Sculpture Northland once again delivered an inspiring experience for visitors of all ages!
“We’re so grateful to have the support of local businesses like Thomson Wilson. Their backing helps us keep the event accessible and professionally run, and it shows real commitment to the cultural life of Whangārei.” - Sally Spicer, Events and Marketing Manager
Whether it’s through legal services, volunteering, or sponsorship, we’re committed to supporting the people and events that make Whangārei such a special place to live and work.
To the organisers, artists and volunteers - thank you! Congratulations to everyone who helped make this year’s Sculpture Northland such a success. We’re already looking forward to next year.
